CUSTOM ORB corrugated profile is rated down to a minimum roof pitch of 5 degrees. Laid flatter than that, water sits in the pans instead of running off and the sheet holds moisture against the fasteners, no matter how well it is screwed down.
KLIP-LOK concealed-fix sheeting can be installed to a pitch as low as 1 degree in 0.48 mm base metal thickness, meeting AS/NZS 1562.1:2018. That is the usual answer for a flat rear extension where corrugated sheet would not comply.
Sheet metal roof and wall cladding in Australia is installed to AS/NZS 1562.1. It sets the minimum pitch, the fastening pattern and the side and end laps for each profile. Work that departs from it is what an insurer points at after a storm claim.

Quoting roof screw replacement in the Northern Beaches is not the same job as quoting it elsewhere in Sydney. The June 2016 storm is the local benchmark: That east coast low dropped 226.6mm on Sydney in three days with gusts to 98km/h, and the Bureau records severe coastal erosion at Collaroy. Flashings, fixings… That is the kind of detail that changes the materials, the timing and the paperwork on a roof in Manly or the streets around it. Everything below links to the council or standard it comes from, so you can check it yourself.

Homes on those strips take the most direct wind-driven salt and storm loading in the area.

Wind, shelter and areas the rain never washes push the real corrosivity higher still, which is why the steel grade used here is not the one used inland.
Source: BlueScope Technical Bulletin TB-35 and AS 4312:2019Class 3 fasteners are only acceptable beyond 1km from marine influence. From 200m to 1km Class 4 is required, and inside 200m even Class 4 is not enough without checking with the supplier. Most of the ocean strip sits inside that band, so standard screws rust out long before the sheeting does.
Source: BlueScope TB-16 and AS 3566.2The standard warranty requires fresh water washing at least every six months of any roof area rain does not wash naturally, and does not cover failure to replace corroded fasteners. On a coastal home that means eaves, awnings and wall abutments need washing deliberately.
