Two things drive the work out here. Salt and damp sea air keep surfaces from drying out properly, so paths, courtyards and driveways in shaded terrace laneways grow moss and algae faster than they would inland. And a lot of the surfaces themselves are old sandstone, tessellated tile or heritage brick, which will not take the same pressure as a modern concrete driveway. Getting a surface clean matters less than getting it clean without damaging it, and on this side of the city the second part is where the judgement is.
We look at what the surface actually is before deciding on pressure. Sandstone, heritage brick and old tessellated tile all behave differently.

Older sandstone and heritage paving need care, and full pressure will damage them. We assess the surface first and adjust the method, and if pressure cleaning is not the right approach for that material we will say so rather than take the risk.
Not always. High pressure on a tiled or aged roof can drive water under the tiles and strip surface coating, so it is not something we apply by default. We look at the roof first and recommend the method that suits it.
Shade and salt air. Courtyards and laneway paving through the Eastern Suburbs often stay damp, and damp plus low light is what moss and algae need. Cleaning removes it, but a surface that never gets sun will regrow faster than one that dries out.

Quoting high pressure cleaning in the Eastern Suburbs is not the same job as quoting it elsewhere in Sydney.
